Women T20 World Cup 2024: India’s Squad Announced

The BCCI has announced the Indian squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, set to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Team India will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur, with Smriti Mandhana serving as the vice-captain.

India’s batting lineup is strong, featuring players like Shafali Verma, Dayalan Hemalatha, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, and Richa Ghosh.

The bowling department is equally formidable with Renuka Singh, Pooja Vastrakar, Deepti Sharma, Radha Yadav, Asha Shobana, and Sajan Sajeevan.

The squad also boasts versatile all-rounders like Harmanpreet Kaur, Sajan, Shobana, and Deepti Sharma.

The ninth edition of the tournament will take place from October 3 to 20 across venues in Dubai and Sharjah.

In the last T20 World Cup, India narrowly missed a spot in the final, losing to Australia by 5 runs in the semifinal held in Cape Town.
