YS Jagan Alleges Chandrababu’s Governance Filled with Betrayal and Scams

YSR Congress to Fight for People’s Promises, Says YS Jagan

Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) president and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a scathing attack on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu via a tweet. He accused Naidu of reneging on promises made to the people and questioned the sincerity of his election manifesto.

In his tweet, Jagan pointed out that during the elections, CM Naidu and his allies had campaigned extensively for the ‘Talli ki Vandana’ scheme, which promised financial assistance of ₹15,000 per year for every child. However, after coming to power, the scheme was neither implemented nor given any definite timeline. Instead, the TDP government outright rejected the possibility of providing this aid for the current year, Jagan alleged.

“Is there any greater deception than this? You made grand promises, captured power by earning people’s trust, and now shamelessly declare that you cannot deliver. Throwing away the manifesto and trampling on promises has become a habit for you,” Jagan wrote.

Allegations on ‘Talli ki Vandana’ and Stalled Welfare Schemes

YS Jagan criticized the discontinuation of the ‘Amma Vodi’ scheme introduced during his tenure, which had benefited 44.48 lakh mothers and 84 lakh children, with financial assistance totaling ₹26,067 crore. He remarked that despite suspending ‘Amma Vodi,’ people had patiently waited for Naidu’s promised scheme, only to be let down.

YS Jagan further attacked CM Naidu on the issue of farmers’ welfare. He noted that the TDP government failed to provide financial support to farmers for both the Kharif and Rabi seasons. He emphasized that during his government, under the ‘Rythu Bharosa’ scheme, ₹13,500 per year was consistently provided to 53.58 lakh farmers, totaling ₹34,378 crore, apart from central assistance. Naidu had promised ₹20,000 annually for farmers but delivered nothing, Jagan said.

Criticism of Governance and Unfulfilled Promises

YS Jagan listed other unfulfilled promises made by Naidu during his election campaign, such as ₹18,000 for every woman above 18 years of age, ₹36,000 as unemployment allowance for youths, and ₹48,000 for women above 50 years. He claimed that none of these promises materialized, and even the volunteer system—intended to bring government services closer to people—was sidelined.

YS Jagan accused Naidu’s administration of burdening citizens with excessive charges while various scams, including those related to sand and liquor, flourished unchecked. He warned that as days go by, Naidu’s alleged deceptions will only further anger the public.

YSRCP’s Commitment to the People

YS Jagan concluded by stating that as a responsible opposition party, the YSR Congress Party will continue to stand by the people, act as their voice, and fight for the implementation of promises made to them.
