Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy made a strong case for the continuation of the mass contact programme, “Gadapa Gadapaki Prabhutvam,” stressing that the YSR Congress Party should gird itself for a tough struggle against a combined Opposition in the upcoming elections.

Mr. Jagan told a workshop attended by Ministers, party in-charges, and regional coordinators on Wednesday at his Camp Office in Tadepalli that opposition parties had nothing to offer the people because they had done nothing when they were in power.

He stated that ‘Gadapa Gadapaki Prabhutvam’ will be continued for the next eight months, and that the programme will be reviewed on a regular basis.

“Winning all Assembly constituencies is not difficult,” he said, adding that the YSRCP did not anticipate to capture Kuppam municipality or a landslide victory in the ZPTC and MPTC polls.

The CM stated that if leaders work hard, the YSRCP can win all 175 Assembly seats. He stated unequivocally that the Gadapa Gadapaki Mana Prabhutvam is a continuous programme that will run for the next eight months. “Every month, the mass contact programme shall be implemented in 10 village/ward secretariats, with two days assigned for each secretariat,” he explained. The programme will be discussed, and input will be solicited.

MLAs will be judged based on their performance in this programme, and any who fail to meet standards will be fired,” Mr. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy added.

“We won 151 seats in 2019 and I see no reason why we shouldn’t win 175 seats in the upcoming elections.” We should set a goal of gaining all Assembly seats, and I am confident we can do it, stated CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “Our welfare initiatives have reached 87 percent, and I want the MLAs to speak to people directly, visit at least 10 ward/village secretariats in a month, and tell to them the positive things we have done.”

V. Vijaya Sai Reddy, Adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, TTD chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy, Ministers, regional coordinators, and district party chiefs were among those in attendance.
