AP Government Sets New Engineering Fees for 2024-25 for B.Tech and Architecture Courses

The Andhra Pradesh (AP) government has finalized the fee structure for B.Tech and Architecture courses for the academic year 2024-25.

The maximum fee for B.Tech courses is set between Rs. 1.03 lakh to Rs. 1.05 lakh, while the minimum fee is Rs. 40,000.

In the state, there are a total of 210 B.Tech colleges and 2 Architecture engineering colleges. Among these, 114 colleges have a fee of Rs. 40,000, and 8 colleges charge over Rs. 1 lakh.

The fee for the two Architecture colleges has been set at Rs. 35,000. The fee includes tuition, affiliation, ID card, medical, sports, cultural activities, and other student activities.

Colleges are prohibited from charging any additional fees.

Accommodation, transportation, mess, registration, and admission refundable fees are not included in this fee structure.

The government has explicitly stated that no additional amounts such as capitation or donations should be collected. Violations will result in fines and legal action.

The fees are subject to the verdicts of pending writ petitions in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, as mentioned by the Higher Education Department Secretary in the order.

Specific fees have been set for various colleges: RVR & JC in Guntur, Gayatri Vidya Parishad in Visakhapatnam, Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha, VR Siddhartha in Vijayawada, SRKR, and Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women in Bhimavaram at Rs. 1.05 lakh each, and Vishnu Institute of Technology at Rs. 1.03 lakh.

GVP College for Degree and PG in Visakhapatnam has been set at Rs. 92,400, and Aditya Engineering College in Peddapuram at Rs. 93,700.
