Amid, the rising deaths due to medical oxygen shortage , India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation or the DRDO had developed a new anti-COVID-19 oral drug called 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG).
The DRDO has expressed confidence that the drug will help patients to reduce their dependency on medical oxygen.
