Trump crossed the winning threshold of 270 votes with his victory in Wisconsin, securing his second term as President.
Trump, a prominent businessman and reality star who transformed into a political star, initially became President in 2016.
Although he lost to Joe Biden in the 2020 election, he has now defeated Kamala Harris, setting several unique records along the way.
At 78 years old, Trump has become the oldest person to win the U.S. presidency for a second time.
Trump is also the second person in history to lose the presidency in one election and then return to win it in the subsequent election.
Previously, Joe Biden was the oldest person to win a U.S. presidential election at 77, eventually stepping down from office at the age of 81.
In 2016, Trump lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton but won the election through the Electoral College, making him the first Republican president to win without a popular vote majority.
Additionally, Trump is the only president to face criminal charges while holding office and was impeached twice during his first term, making him the first president to face impeachment twice within a single term.
