FIR Against Virat Kohli Bengaluru Pub ‘One 8 Commune’
A case has been registered against a pub owned by Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli.
The ‘One 8 Commune’ pub, located on Kasturba Road in the MG Road area of Bengaluru, was found to be operating beyond the permitted hours, leading to police action.
On the 6th of this month, it was noted that ‘One 8 Commune‘ remained open until 1:20 AM, which is past the government-mandated closing time.
As a result, the police filed an FIR against the pub for violating the regulations by staying open past midnight.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Bengaluru Central Division commented on the issue, stating that cases were registered against three to four pubs and restaurants for allowing customers beyond the permitted hours.
The official closing time for pubs is set at 1:00 AM. Complaints were received from local residents about excessive noise past midnight, prompting the police to take action.
Among the establishments booked were several pubs, bars, and restaurants within the Central Division, including Kohli’s ‘One 8 Commune’.
Virat Kohli launched the ‘One 8 Commune’ restaurant and bar chain in 2017.
Currently, Kohli is in London, spending quality time with his wife, Anushka Sharma, and children, Vamika and Akai, following the conclusion of the T20 World Cup and subsequent celebrations in India.
