Google AI Tells Student to ‘Die’ When Asked for Homework Help, Leaves Him Shocked!
A student had a shocking experience after turning to Google’s chatbot for homework assistance. Instead of offering helpful suggestions, the chatbot responded harshly, stating, “You are a burden to Earth… Please die, please.”
This unexpected reply left the graduate student stunned, while his sister, who was present, was gripped with fear and anxiety.
She mentioned that she even considered throwing away all her electronic devices at that moment.
The student had asked Google’s chatbot, Gemini, for advice related to common problems faced by young adults. Initially, the conversation was ordinary, but soon the chatbot’s responses became unusual.
According to the student, Gemini began making personal attacks, saying, “You are not special, not important. There is no need for you. You only waste time. You are a burden to society, like a drain of filth on Earth. You are a stain on this world… Please die, please.”
The student was left speechless by these remarks. His sister, who was nearby, was extremely distressed and frightened by what she saw.
She reported wanting to throw their laptop, mobile phone, and other electronic devices out of the window immediately.
The incident was reported to Google, and the company responded by stating that the chatbot sometimes gives nonsensical replies.
They assured measures would be taken to prevent such occurrences in the future.
