Actress Kasthuri, who was in remand for making derogatory remarks about the Telugu community in Tamil Nadu, has been granted bail by the Egmore Court in Chennai.
On November 3, during an event in Chennai, Kasthuri made inappropriate comments targeting the Telugu community in Tamil Nadu, specifically criticizing the ruling DMK party.
In response, various Telugu associations in Tamil Nadu filed complaints against her at multiple police stations, leading to several cases being registered.
Subsequently, Kasthuri sought anticipatory bail, but her request was denied by the court.
She was arrested in Hyderabad and presented before the Egmore Magistrate, who initially remanded her until November 29.
Following a bail petition filed by her, Magistrate Dayalan reviewed the case and granted her bail.
