Ola Electric Scooter Slashes Prices on S1X Scooter Series
Ola Electric Scooter, a manufacturer of electric two-wheelers, has announced a price reduction for its entry-level S1X scooter series. The company stated that the prices will now start at ₹69,999 (ex-showroom). The new prices of ola electric motorcycle are available on the company’s website. Ola noted that this move aims to make scooters more accessible to first-time electric scooter buyers. Deliveries of the new pricing tier are set to begin next week.
The new S1X will be available in three battery variants. The 2 kWh version of Ola Electric Bike is priced at ₹69,999 as an introductory offer, the 3 kWh battery variant at ₹84,999, and the 4 kWh battery variant at ₹99,999. The scooters come with an 8-year/80,000-kilometer battery warranty.
Feature-wise, the S1X scooters are equipped with a physical key. The 2 kWh scooter model offers an IDC range of 95 kilometers, the 3 kWh model provides a range of 143 kilometers, and the 4 kWh model delivers up to 190 kilometers.
The scooters also include a 6kW motor, which can accelerate from 0-40 kilometers per hour in just 3.3 seconds. The top speed for the 2 kWh variant is 85 kilometers per hour, while the other two models can reach up to 90 kilometers per hour. The models come with various modes such as Eco, Normal, and Sports, and include features like cruise control, reverse mode, and connectivity through the Ola Electric app. The scooters are available in seven colors. Ola has marked this launch as a significant milestone, noting that it has registered a total of 500,000 vehicles in the past two and a half years.
