Pawan Kalyan’s Comments on Heroes and Smuggling Spark Controversy

AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s comments during his visit to Karnataka yesterday have sparked a storm on social media.

Pawan remarked that while heroes in films 40 years ago played roles where they protected trees, today’s heroes are portraying characters that cut them down, making these remarks with the environment in mind.

As an example, Pawan referred to the 1973 Kannada film Gandhada Gudi, in which Rajkumar’s character prevents smugglers and poachers from cutting down trees in the forests.

However, some netizens are alleging that Pawan made these comments targeting Allu Arjun.

Since Allu Arjun plays the role of a red sandalwood smuggler in the films Pushpa and Pushpa-2, and given the recent developments during the election season, they accuse Pawan of deliberately aiming his comments at Allu Arjun.

Some netizens are speculating that Pawan’s comments are driven by the fact that Allu Arjun supported YSRCP candidate Shilpa Ravichandra Reddy during the elections.

Others commented that Pawan Kalyan cannot compete with Allu Arjun when it comes to acting.
