In a bid to make the Indian Premier League (IPL) even more engaging, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has introduced a new technological feature designed to enhance the live broadcast experience for viewers. As part of this initiative, an AI-powered robotic dog was unveiled and showcased during a recent match.
The Robo Dog, which has now joined the IPL’s broadcasting team, was introduced by renowned commentator Danny Morrison. Ahead of the match between Mumbai and Delhi, the robotic dog interacted with players during their practice session. Notably, it greeted the athletes and even shook hands with Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya. Responding to Danny Morrison’s voice commands, the Robo Dog performed various movements that entertained both the players and the audience.
The BCCI released a video of the robot in action on social media, highlighting this innovative step aimed at delivering a more immersive and futuristic viewing experience.
