Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth’ entry into politics has been a highly debated matter in Tamil Nadu. Recently, R Sundarrajan the Tamil director had delivered a speech in which he criticized Rajinikanth’ foray into the field of politics.
On the occasion of late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa’ 72nd birth anniversary, the director R Sundarrajan made a speech on the politics and hailed MGR’ impact as a politician and said, “When Maruthur Gopala Ramachandran – MGR became the CM of the State, the people were happy but none of them wanted to become chief ministers, following his route. Although, after MGR became CM of the state, all the actors without considering their qualifications wanted to become actors.”
R Sundarrajan also added, “If Superstar Rajinikanth starts a political party and conducts the first meeting in Coimbatore before he reaches Tirupur itself, he will pass away. That is the state of Rajinikanth’ body condition.”
The director R Sundarrajan also criticized other politicians like Stalin and parties such as DMK.
It is known news that on 31st December, 2017, Rajinikanth announced his intention to form a political party.
In 1996, Superstar Rajinikanth made his political aspirations apparent when he threw his weight behind the DMK-TMC alliance and gave what later came to be famously known as the ‘Rajini voice’ against J Jayalalithaa.
