Telangana lockdown extended for another ten days
On Tuesday, June 8, the TRS government held a cabinet meeting at Pragati Bhavan in Hyderabad, Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao’s official camp office.
It was questioned in the state cabinet whether the state’s lockdown should be extended.
Given that the number of coronavirus cases in the state has significantly decreased, the state administration decided to loosen the lockdown somewhat more than it is now.
Telangana’s cabinet has agreed to extend the state’s lockdown by ten days, till June 20.
It was also decided to prolong the relaxation hours from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., rather than the existing 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Beginning June 10, the relaxing hours will be from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The general public, on the other hand, will be granted an additional hour to get home. From 6 p.m. until 6 a.m., there will be strict lockdown.
The Telangana cabinet has opted to maintain the status quo in places like Khammam, Sattupalli, Nakhrekal, and other constituencies where COVID-19 cases are still prevalent.
